Aaron Hughes, Esq.
Mr. Hughes is an associate at Hoffman & Forde. He practices in the area of consumer protection, including matters involving violations of the Federal and California Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other consumer right laws. Mr. Hughes also represents clients in corporate and trust and estate matters, including the formation and operation of businesses, business planning, estate planning, and, drafting wills and trusts.
Mr. Hughes graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. During his time at Long Beach State, Mr. Hughes worked full-time in the banking industry.
Mr. Hughes earned his Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law in the spring of 2017. While attending Cal Western, Mr. Hughes was the co-chair of social events for Phi Alpha Delta, as well as the treasurer for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Mr. Hughes was also honored with several Dean’s List awards and received the highest grade in his Legal Drafting and Consumer Law courses. In addition, Mr. Hughes was a student ambassador for the Admissions Department, participating in panel discussion, tours, and orientations for incoming law students.
Mr. Hughes also has a strong desire for volunteering in the local community. He has participated in the A.I.M. for Law School program, which gives college and high school students a look into what it takes to succeed in law school. Mr. Hughes is also a mentor for current law students at Cal Western and volunteers at local San Diego County Bar events. Mr. Hughes’ interests include cooking and going to the dog beach with his wife and two dogs. Mr. Hughes is also in the process of learning Spanish. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
