David Silldorf is Of Counsel to Hoffman & Forde, focusing on Criminal Defense. He has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of individuals facing serious charges in both state and federal courts.
Education and Experience
With more than a decade of courtroom experience, Mr. Silldorf has handled cases at every stage of the criminal process—from early investigations and grand jury proceedings to trial and appeals. His work has led to successful outcomes for clients, including case dismissals, acquittals, and reversals on appeal.
Mr. Silldorf is recognized by the Federal U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California as a qualified criminal practitioner under the Criminal Justice Act. His practice often includes matters involving federal conspiracy, firearms, and cross-border cases influenced by San Diego’s proximity to the international border.
He earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law with honors in criminal defense practice and graduated summa cum laude from Boston University, Phi Beta Kappa, with a concentration in Philosophy, Law, and Ethics.
In addition to his legal work, Mr. Silldorf has been involved in teaching and mentoring. He has served as an adjunct professor, coached mock trial teams, and spoken to legal and community organizations.
