Education and Experience
Mr. Seper earned his Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from California Lutheran University in 1998. He completed his Master's degree, summa cum laude, from American University in 2000, and obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of San Diego in 2020.
Mr. Seper serves as a California trial attorney, specializing in property, entertainment, and corporate law. He conducted fourteen (14) trials in the 2023 calendar year alone.
He has represented Corporations, undocumented individuals, animals (sentient beings), persons adjudicated as incompetent, and the criminally accused in open court.
During law school, Mr. Seper was elected President of the Christian Legal Society, started the campus branch of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and proudly interned in the legal affairs office of the state's most diverse school district in Chula Vista, California.
In 2022, Mr. Seper successfully represented a Hall of Fame Football player - and a San Diego legend - in a multi-million-dollar Appropriation of Name or Likeness suit against an international conglomerate. CACI No. 1803.
Mr. Seper continues to evolve with the law and society, recently taking courses in OSHA Guidance on Return to the Workplace, Intellectual Property within Artificial Intelligence, and AirBnB/VRBO Developments offered through the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Seper continues to research and write about applying soft analytics to issue resolution.
Additional Information
Mr. Seper teaches Mock Trial on a pro bono basis at e3 Civil High School - a free public charter high school - through the San Diego County Bar Association's educational initiative for underrepresented communities.
Mr. Seper also continues to volunteer 2-3 times per month as a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels of San Diego County.
Finally, for the last two (2) decades, he serves on his congregation's Council at Christ Lutheran Church.
